C6-7 Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion Revision

This exhibit depicts an anterior C6-7 cervical discectomy and fusion revision. The procedure begins with re-opening of the anterior neck incision, and removal of all spinal hardware. The endplates are then decorticated and remaining disc material is removed. Bilateral foraminotomies are performed for nerve root decompression, and a new 10mm trabeculated metal spacer is impacted into the disc space. Lastly, a new metal plate is affixed to the anterior spine with screws for stability.
