Cervical Epidural Steroid Injection with Disc Desiccation – No Text

SKU: S11h010

This exhibit depicts a cervical epidural steroid injection to relieve radicular pain from degenerative disc disease. A cervical epidural steroid injection is a minimally invasive procedure used to relieve pain due to nerve inflammation. The spinal cord and cervical nerve roots are surrounded by a protective membrane called the dura. The dura is then cushioned by a layer of fat within the spinal canal. This is referred to as the epidural space. A syringe is inserted through the posterior neck into the epidural space and an analgesic steroid is injected, bathing the neurological structures in medication to reduce inflammation.
