Nasal Fractures and Reconstruction

This exhibit compares a fractured nose’s pre-accident, post-accident, and post-operative conditions. The nasal bones, bony septum, and nasal cartilages were normal before the accident. Post-accident, there is a comminuted, depressed fracture of the nasal bones with a deviation of the bony septum. The nasal cartilage is also twisted to the left. Post-operatively, the nasal and septal bone fragments are realigned, and the cartilage position is restored.
