Normal Field of Binocular Vision

SKU: S06049

This exhibit illustrates the normal field of human vision. Binocular vision occurs through the coordinated use of two eyes to capture two separate, slightly dissimilar images due to differing horizontal positions on the head. This allows for stereopsis, the ability to appreciate objects in three dimensions of depth. The two images are then interpreted and fused in the visual cortex of the brain to form a single visual perception.
