Left Reverse Total Shoulder Arthroplasty

SKU: C15021

The steps of a left reverse total shoulder surgery are shown. Post-accident, there is a comminuted fracture of the left humeral head. The biceps is first released and then tenodesed to the pectoralis muscle. Fracture fragments of the humeral head are removed, and the broken edge of the humerus is reshaped. The labrum is then resected and sutured to the subscapularis. The humeral shaft and glenoid fossa are prepped for implants, and the glenohumeral joint is reduced. Finally, any remaining humeral fracture fragments and the subscapularis are sutured to the humeral stem.
