A severely torn rotator cuff is repaired via arthroscopic and open surgery. The torn biceps tendon is cut and later reattached to the humerus via a suture anchor. Labral tears are debrided, and a bursectomy is performed. The supraspinatus and infraspinatus tears are remedied with side-to-side sutures, and an acromioplasty is performed to remove the acromial spurs.
