Circulation of Cerebrospinal Fluid, Intracranial Pressure, and Venous Sinus Thrombosis
This exhibit illustrates the effects of a right transverse venous sinus thrombosis on the circulation of cerebrospinal fluid and intracranial pressure. A clot in the right transverse sinus impedes the circulation of blood and cerebrospinal fluid, increasing intracranial pressure, and causing a forward shift of the brain. This results in right sided headache pain.
