Left Eye Orbitotomy and Evisceration with Orbital Implant

This exhibit depicts the surgical steps of a left eye orbitotomy and evisceration with orbital implant insertion. The procedure begins with a periotomy, and then an orbitotomy is performed. The uvea is stripped away from the sclera, and the corneal button is removed. Relaxing incisions are made in the posterior and anterior sclera, and an orbital implant is inserted. The sclera and conjunctiva were sutured over the orbital implant, and a modified Frost suture tarsorrhaphy was used to close the eye.
