Image-Guided Left Occipital Craniotomy

A left occipital craniotomy procedure is depicted in this exhibit. A vertical sigmoid incision is made on the left occipital skull to expose the tumor and cysts. A bone plate is created and elevated. The tumor and cysts are mobilized and removed with a penfield dissector. DuraMatrix is placed in the subdural space for reinforcement after the dura was reattached with interrupted running sutures. Titanium plates and screws were used to reattach the bone flap.
