Infant Subdural Hematoma and Fluid Collections
This exhibit features two axial CT renditions demonstrating infant head conditions at 16 months and 2 years of age. The first condition of the brain includes subdural fluid collections, expanded subarachnoid space, enlarged ventricles, spontaneous re-bleed, brain atrophy with encephalomalacia, and a chronic subdural hematoma. At 2 years old the head presents with thickening of the skull, increased enlargement of ventricles, chronic subdural hematoma, subdural fluid collections, expanded subarachnoid space, and worsening brain atrophy with encephalomalacia.
