Normal Lateral Cervical Spine and Arteries

This exhibit depicts the normal lateral anatomy and blood supply of the cervical spine. The vertebral artery can be seen traveling superiorly through the transverse foramina from C6 to C1, and then into the skull to supply the brain. Radicular arteries branch from the vertebral artery at each cervical level to supply blood to the nerve roots and spinal cord.
