Left Wrist Injuries with Subsequent Surgical Repairs

This exhibit depicts multiple injuries to the left wrist with surgical repairs. Pre-operatively, there is carpal tunnel syndrome with left median neuropathy, arthritis of the first carpometacarpal joint, and DeQuervain tenosynovitis. A carpal tunnel release was performed to decompress the median nerve, and the trapezium was excised from the wrist. A left flexor carpi radialis tendon transfer was then completed to replace the excised trapezium. Lastly, the first dorsal compartment was released to decompress the extensor and abductor tendons.
