How to Order Medical Illustrations

2. Preparation of a Quote

A quote is a free, no obligation document describing in detail our project recommendations along with associated costs, time frames and additional information requests. In most instances at least one or more of the following are necessary to generate a written proposal:

  • Your Contact Information
  • Description of your Project Ideas
  • Hospital Records
  • Deposition Transcripts
  • Police Reports
  • Radiological Films
  • Photographs
  • Script or Outline
  • Film or Video

On occasion, an on-site consultation may be required, either to discuss a particularly complicated project or to meet with a witness. The initial consultation with you, your client, or witness is free of charge if you are within the following states: New Jersey, Eastern Pennsylvania, Southern New York, Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts or Delaware. All other meetings are billed based on our standard rates.

3. Quote Acceptance

We will contact you with a proposal within two (2) weeks after we have received your project information. Once you have thoroughly read our quote, forward the retainer payment and return a signed copy of the quotation to our office, either by fax or mail. Please indicate your deadlines and desired form of delivery below your signature. Production on your project will commence once all of these requirements are met. All quotes can be modified per your specifications.

4. Draft Created

While we can work with any deadline, a typical production timeframe would be six to eight (6 – 8) weeks from retainer payment and quote approval. Some projects, such as Animation commissions, are labor intensive and may take months to create. Other projects, such as Stock Illustrations, can be delivered within 24 hours.

Any accepted custom project requiring a turnaround time of less than 4 weeks will be subject to an expedited case fee to be determined based on the scope of work and timeframe provided.

5. Draft Approval/Revisions

Once completed, you, your expert(s) and/or witness(es) will be sent either black & white, full color or digital format production drafts. Paper copies will be sent as 8.5″ X 11″ printouts. Digital copies will be sent via e-mail, or viewed confidentially on the My Account section of our website. Our price includes the opportunity for you and your medical expert to review our drafts and propose revisions. If revisions are in order, we will create one (1) revised set of drafts, as per your final instructions, at no additional cost. Subsequent revisions will be billed based on our standard rates.

6. Final Product

Completed projects will be transferred to you following signed approval of the draft and payment set forth under the contract agreement. Delivery methods include regular mail, FedEx, UPS, electronic transfer or confidential download via our My Account section. We can deliver your finished product in any of the following formats:

o    PPTX (PowerPoint)
o    AVI, MPG, MKV or MOV (Video Files)

Paper Prints:

o    20” X 30”*
o    30” X 40”*
o    Customized Sizes

* Large Format Exhibits printed on 20” x 30” or 30″ x 40″ high quality bond paper, mounted on Gatorfoam board, laminated and framed with a sturdy plastic edge molding.
