Left Shoulder Arthroscopic Rotator Cuff Repair and Open Biceps Tenodesis

A full-thickness tear of the left rotator cuff is repaired via arthroscopic surgery. The supraspinatus tear is debrided, sutured, and secured into the humerus with a suture anchor. Labral tears and an inflamed, thickened biceps tendon are remedied by debriding the labrum and cutting the biceps tendon. The surgery is converted into an open surgery, and the biceps tendon is sutured in a whipstitch fashion. Holes are drilled into the humerus, and the tendons are secured to the humerus with sutures.
