Amputation of the Right Ring Finger and Full Thickness Flap Graft

This exhibit depicts the traumatic amputation of the distal right ring finger with two surgical reconstructions. During the first surgery, the amputation injury is debrided, a full-thickness thenar flap graft is created, and the flap is sutured to the end of the right ring finger. A second surgery is then performed to divide the thenar flap and fully attach the graft over the amputation site. The thenar flap site is closed with sutures.
