Attempted Extraction of Cataract with Intraocular Lens Implant

SKU: C06001

This exhibit features six medical illustrations that show the surgical steps of an attempted cataract extraction with an intraocular lens implant. First, corneal and lens capsule incisions are made in the eye for the lens capsule to be removed. Next, the lens capsule is removed, but the lens becomes dislodged when the solution is injected into the anterior chamber and floats to the bottom of the posterior chamber. Finally, fluid is removed from the anterior chamber, and the intraocular lens implant is secured.
