Avulsion of the LCL Extensor Muscles, Severed Brachial Artery and Repairs

SKU: C12011

This exhibit depicts injuries to the soft tissue of the left arm and the subsequent surgical repairs. In the post-trauma, the elbow is dislocated, the median nerve is contused, the brachial artery is severed and thrombosed, and there is avulsion of the LCL and extensor muscles. Post-operatively, anastomosis of the brachial artery was achieved with a saphenous vein graft. The LCL and extensor tendons were repaired with suture anchors, and the dislocated elbow joint was reduced.
