Bilateral Arthroscopic TMJ Surgeries

This exhibit shows two bilateral arthroscopic temporomandibular joint surgeries. Both joints are affected by adhesions, anteromedial disc displacement, synovitis, and hyperemic fibrillation. The adhesions are lysed, the joints are irrigated, and platelet-rich plasma is injected into the joint in the first surgery. The second surgery shows the disc to be displaced anteromedially, and the joint capsule is released anterolaterally via an arthroscope.
