This exhibit depicts a C4-6 anterior cervical discectomy and fusion with bone graft. The procedure begins with an incision over the anterior neck, exposing C4-6. Distraction pins are placed and midline C4-6 disc herniations are removed. Bilateral foraminotomies are then performed to decompress the cervical nerve roots. The vertebral endplates are decorticated with a rasp and PEEK interbody cages are packed with bone graft. Lastly, the cages are impacted into the disc spaces, and the fusion is stabilized with an anterior cervical plate.
