This exhibit depicts a C5-7 anterior cervical corpectomy and fusion with a fibular strut graft. The procedure begins with an incision over the anterior neck, exposing C5-7. Distraction pins are then placed, midline C5-7 disc herniations are removed, and a total corpectomy of C6 is completed.The vertebral endplates are decorticated with a high speed drill, and fibular strut allograft is impacted into the vertebral column. Lastly, the fusion is stabilized with the placement of an anterior cervical plate and screws.
