This exhibit depicts a C6-7 anterior cervical discectomy and fusion with bone graft. The procedure begins with an incision over the anterior neck, exposing C6-7. Distraction pins are placed and a midline C6-7 disc herniation is removed. Bilateral foraminotomies are then performed to decompress the cervical nerve roots. The vertebral endplates are decorticated with a rasp and a PEEK interbody cage is packed with bone graft. Lastly, the cage is impacted into the disc space, and the fusion is stabilized with an anterior cervical plate.
