Chronic Scaphoid Fracture and Right Wrist Degeneration
This exhibit features a coronal section of the right wrist with multiple degenerative deficits. A chronic fracture with edema is present at the waist of the scaphoid bone, along with a torn scapholunate ligament. Bone marrow edema is observed within the capitate, hamate, and triquetrum bones. Cystic changes can also be seen to the radial aspect of the distal ulna.
