De Quervain Tenosynovitis and Surgical Release

This exhibit depicts a lateral left wrist with De Quervain tenosynovitis and surgical release. A "Z" shaped incision is made over the first extensor compartment in the lateral wrist. The radial sensory nerve is then exposed and dissected free. The inflamed and indurated extensor sheath was then incised to release the compressed extensor tendons of the thumb.
