Enucleation of the Right Eye with Orbital Implant

This exhibit depicts evisceration of the right eye with orbital implant insertion. The procedure begins with the placement of eyelid retractors and performance of a 360? periotomy. Next, the scarred cornea and ocular contents are removed. Scleral incisions are then made within the eye, an orbital implant is inserted, and the eye tissues are closed over the implant.
