Frontoparietal Skull Fractures with Hemorrhaging

This exhibit shows two axial sections of the head with comminuted skull fractures and brain hemorrhages. Large, depressed skull fractures compressing the cerebrum, epidural hemorrhaging, subarachnoid hemorrhaging, and a dural laceration are seen in the pre-op condition. The post-op condition depicts a skull fracture repaired with a plate and screws, a dural laceration repair, subarachnoid hemorrhaging, an epidural hematoma, and brain swelling.
