Five surgical steps demonstrate a right humeral head replacement. Utilizing a midline incision, the arthritic humeral head is revealed. The acromioclavicular joint, distal clavicle, and coracoacromial ligament are resected. The humeral head is then excised and the shaft reamed. The prosthetic humeral head is then inserted to complete the procedure.
