Left Hand Reconstruction with Pedicle Flap

Four conditions of a pedicle flap reconstruction of the left hand are shown in this exhibit. The first illustration shows the left hand after the amputation of the gangrenous first and third fingers. The large abdominal pedicle flap, which is used to close the left-hand wounds is depicted in the second illustration. The abdominal pedicle flap attached to the left hand is shown alongside the final post-operative condition, where the flap has been revised with sutures to reconstruct the thumb.
