This exhibit depicts a C4-6 anterior cervical corpectomy and fusion with iliac crest autograft. The procedure begins with an incision over the anterior neck, exposing C4-6. Distraction pins are then placed, and midline C4-6 disc herniations are removed. A total corpectomy of C5 is completed, and the vertebral endplates are decorticated with a high speed drill. Attention is then shifted to the left hip, where an incision is made over the iliac crest. A tricortical iliac strut graft is harvested, impacted into the vertebral column, and stabilized with the placement of an anterior cervical plate.
