Male Posterior Dislocation of the Right Humerus – No Text

SKU: S14070

This exhibit depicts the normal lateral anatomy of the shoulder compared to a posterior shoulder dislocation. The glenohumeral joint (shoulder) is a ball and socket joint, in which the humeral head is seated within the glenoid fossa of the scapula. A posterior dislocation occurs when the humeral head is displaced posteriorly from the glenoid fossa. This can occur as the result of trauma, an imbalance in rotator cuff strength, or physical activity.
