This exhibit illustrates a C6-7 partial percutaneous discectomy utilizing coblation. Coblation is a non-heat driven process that employs radio frequencies to dissolve targeted tissues for removal. A nucleoplasty wand is passed into the C6-7 disc space three times, removing small amounts of nucleus tissue. Coblation of the nucleus creates a vacuum effect, causing the herniated nucleus to recede back into the disc space, decompressing the neurological structures.
