This exhibit depicts a right frontotemporoparietal craniotomy with evacuation of a subdural hematoma. The procedure begins with the creation of a skin flap over the right frontotemporoparietal skull. Next, a craniotomy flap is drilled and removed, exposing the underlying dura. An incision is made in the dura and the subdural hematoma is evacuated with suction. The dura is then closed with sutures and a Jackson-Pratt drain is inserted through a separate stab incision. Lastly, the craniotomy flap is returned to its original position and secured to the skull with plates.
