This exhibit depicts the neurovascular anatomy of the axilla (underarm). Its contents include: the cords/terminal branches of the brachial plexus, axillary artery, and axillary vein. The cords of the brachial plexus are named for their position relative to the axillary artery (i.e. the posterior cord lies posterior to the axillary artery).
