Repair of Infected Left Radial and Ulnar Non-Unions
This exhibit shows the infection and repair of left forearm non-unions. Pre-operatively, non-unions of the radius and ulna can be seen with prior fixation hardware in place. A distal ulnar non-union is also present after removed percutaneous pin fixation. Infectious tissues have formed around the ulnar non-union site, and around the olecranon process. Post-operatively, the infectious tissues have been debrided from around the ulna, and the ulnar rod has been replaced with a plate.
