Repair of Skull Fractures and Dural Laceration

This exhibit depicts the post-trauma condition of the skull with multiple fractures and a dural laceration. Fractures of the left orbit, anterior wall of the left maxillary sinus, left mastoid, and middle ear cavity are present. There is also a comminuted fracture of the left skull with depressed fragments. Multiple plates and screws are used to repair the comminuted left skull fracture. After the blood has been evacuated from the area, the dural laceration is repaired with a duraplasty.
