This surgical storyboard illustrates the steps of a right brachial plexus decompression with a first rib resection. A supraclavicular incision is made over the right thoracic outlet. The brachial plexus is exposed and decompressed. A central section of the first rib is removed after a section of the middle scalene muscle is removed. Part of the anterior scalene muscle was resected to decompress the subclavian artery.
