This exhibit depicts a child with multiple brachial plexus injuries requiring surgical dissection. Nerve root stretch injuries are present from C5-T1 in the neck. A band of dense fibrous tissue compresses the musculocutaneous and median nerves in the upper arm. Surgical decompression of the musculocutaneous and median nerves is completed by dissecting the fibrous band away from the nerves.
