Tear of the Triangular Fibrocartilage Complex and Surgical Debridement of the Wrist
This exhibit depicts a triangular fibrocartilage complex (TFCC) tear in the right wrist with subsequent surgical debridement. A pre-operative cross section through the right wrist reveals a TFCC tear, radioulnar joint synovitis, and capsular thickening. Arthroscopic debridement of the dorsal radioulnar capsule was performed, and the TFCC was trimmed back to a stable margin. Additional shaving and debridement was performed to remedy synovitis and capsular thickening.
