The condition of a post-accident thoracic spine with a severe fracture-dislocation at T9-10 is depicted. The T10 vertebral body is fractured, and its superior endplate is retropulsed posteriorly, causing spinal cord compression. There are also displaced fractures of the T8-9 spinous processes, and a subarachnoid hemorrhage is present in the lower thoracic spine.
