This exhibit depicts bilateral craniotomies in the parietal region to evacuate subdural hematomas. First, a bicoronal incision is made to expose the superior skull. Rainey clips are placed for hemostasis, burr holes are drilled, and craniotomy flaps are created with a drill. The flaps are removed, revealing tense dura. The dura is then opened, and bilateral subdural hematomas are evacuated under suction. Lastly, the dura is reapproximated with sutures and the craniotomy flaps are secured with plates.
