This exhibit depicts a C5-6 posterior hemilaminectomy with bilateral foraminotomies for neural decompression. The procedure begins with a posterior midline incision and exposure of the C5-6 lamina. The inferior lamina of C5 and superior lamina of C6 are partially removed with a drill, allowing access to the neural foramen. Bilateral foraminotomies are then performed to decompress the exiting cervical nerve roots.
