Exposure and Fusion of Thoracic Spine Fractures

The pre and post-op conditions of the posterior thoracolumbar spine are shown. Pre-operatively, the thoracic spine has suffered the following injuries: right transverse process fractures of T8 and T9, spinous process fractures of T8 and T9, a lamina fracture at T9, bilateral facet and transverse process fractures at T10, and a laminar defect fracture at T10 with spinal cord herniation. To repair the fractures, T8-T12 have been fused posteriorly with pedicle screws, rods, and bone grafts. A T10 laminectomy was also conducted to decompress the spinal cord at this level.
