This exhibit depicts a cataract extraction with intraocular lens replacement. First, retractors are placed on the eyelids, and a small corneal incision is made. The lens capsule is then cut and the lens is removed. Finally, anterior chamber fluid is removed, and an intraocular lens implant is secured in place.
