This exhibit depicts a left-sided pediatric craniotomy. First, an incision is made over the left scalp. A bone flap is created to evacuate a large hematoma from the dura surface. Next, the bleeding is stopped before the bone flap is replaced and secured with hardware. Finally, the scalp flap is stapled closed.
