Orbital Floor Fractures

This exhibit depicting multiple skull fractures features an x-ray adjacent to a medical illustration of the injuries. The individual suffered depressed comminuted fractures to the temporal bone. There are also displaced fractures of the right zygomatic arch and maxillary complex. Hemorrhaging was caused by comminuted displaced fractures of the right maxillary sinus’s anterior, posterolateral, and medial walls. Sphenoidal fractures of the medial and lateral plates of the right pterygoid can also be observed. Fractures were also sustained to the right orbital rim and floor.
