Removal of Spinal Cord Stimulator with Thoracic Decompression

SKU: C23003

Surgery is performed to remove a spinal cord stimulator and decompress the thoracic spine. The healed previous anterior incision is reopened to expose the battery pack. The battery pack is detached from the wires and removed. Next, an incision is made over the posterior spine to expose the leads trapped within scar tissue over the thoracic spine. Thoracic decompression is achieved by performing T9 hemilaminectomies and a T10 laminectomy. The scar tissue is then removed to free the wires, and the wires are then removed.
