Right Brain Hematomas and Left Hygroma

This exhibit features an axial section of the brain with multiple fluid collections. Subdural hematomas can be seen in the right frontotemporal regions, with mass effect on the cerebrum, lentiform nucleus, and lateral ventricles. A right-sided epidural hematoma with pneumocephalus (air within the skull) can also be seen in the temporal region. On the left, there is a frontal subdural hygroma (collection of cerebrospinal fluid) compressing the frontal lobe.
