Right Third Trigger Finger and Carpal Tunnel Releases

The illustrated surgical steps of a third trigger finger release and a carpal tunnel release are depicted. To release the trigger finger, first, an incision is made over the base of the third and fourth digits. The third digit annular (A1) pulley of the hand is incised, allowing the third finger to once again be straightened. To release the carpal tunnel, an incision is made along the thenar crease of the hand. The transverse carpal ligament is incised, releasing the median nerve. Hypertrophic synovium is removed from the carpal tunnel, and an epineurolysis is performed.
