C5-6 Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion

This exhibit shows the surgical steps of an ACDF at C5-6. First, cervical traction is achieved using Gardner-Wells tongs and traction weights. Next, an incision is made over the anterior neck to expose the cervical spine. A discectomy is performed at C5-6, and the C5 and C6 endplates are prepared for the fusion. Finally, an allograft is inserted into the disc space and secured by an anterior plate and screws.
