C5-6 Hardware Removal, Corpectomy, and C5-7 Interbody Fusion

SKU: C11027

This exhibit shows the steps of a cervical surgery in which hardware from a prior surgery is removed, and a corpectomy and an interbody fusion are performed. An incomplete fusion at C5-6 needed to be revised, so the scar from the previous incision was reopened. The hardware from the incomplete fusion was removed, and a discectomy was performed at C6-7. Osteophytes causing spinal cord impingement were removed, and a C6 corpectomy was completed. A PEEK interbody cage filled with autograft was inserted between C5 and C7. An anterior cervical plate was secured over the new fusion.
